Books and Life

Amy is a feminist who supports the work of women by reading and reviewing books written by women. So far, she has read 450 female-authored books since starting the project two years ago and still has a TBR pile a mile long (there are so many amazing women out there!). In real life, she is a Ph.D. student in Religion with a focus in Women and Gender Studies. Basically, she reads ancient books and researches the women she finds in both ancient fiction and real life. She finds recovering women who have been disappeared from history to be so rewarding.

Amy also is a dog-lover who currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas. She has been obsessed with Fantasy and Science Fiction since about 5th grade. For the last 10 years, she has suffered from an illness that leaves her sitting on the couch a lot and then she started reading more and more to escape. Still feeling like an underachiever, Jon (her wonderful husband) suggested keeping track of books and exploring the nerdy world of book-loving people. She reads about 200 books a year (while in school!), loves bookstagram, and reviews books given to her by publishers as well as all the great books from the library. She wishes to live in a library. Or at least a house that has a library (Bell had the right idea).
